I’m Ankit. I want to do ambitious work and have time to read, write, travel slowly and bring curious people together. I’m still figuring out how to make enough room for all of it.
I’m interested in brands, culture and the stories we tell ourselves about a good life. I write to work out what I think, make strange things with AI because a possibility interests me, and enjoy conversations where people can change their minds.

The Life I Would Choose in a Breath

I keep imagining two versions of my life five years from now. In one, I am running a billion-dollar company. In the other, I own a farmhouse. I grow some of my own food. My friends live nearby. I spend more time reading and writing.
For a while, I thought I was confused between ambition and contentment. Then someone asked me a useful question: if fifty million dollars appeared in my account tomorrow, without a company, an exit or any public achievement attached to it, would I still want to spend the next five years proving that I could build something enormous?
No. I would choose the other life in a breath.
I thought the decision was whether to choose ambition or the good life. It may instead be about making ambition worthwhile even if it never purchases the life it promised.
Away from work
I’d like to host small gatherings where everyone brings an idea that has inspired them and a sentence they can’t stop thinking about. An evening of meals, conversation and room to change your mind.
